User-friendly Linux

I was stunned looking at the look n feel of Macintosh, which is very beautiful aesthetically.

The icons, images, ... everything are just nice and almost perfect!

However, it was not the main thing that makes me attract to it very much,
but rather to its underlying operating system which is based on Unix.

Unfortunately, my laptop now is just an x86 type - which is surely not a Mac.

Thus, I was googling the Internet trying to out how to make my Linux on this laptop looks better.

Surprisingly, I found out that there is a Linux distribution - eLive (http://www.elivecd.org/)
that suits my taste and my ego, since I love Debian so much.

Without further waiting, I downloaded it and installed it!!

First impression:
Damn great, the UI look and feel is just great .. the CD boots the system to display Enlightenment WM.

I was thinking all stopped there, I mean the CD is just a Live CD, but I was wrong!
There was a small icon on its launcher (similar to Mac Icon launcher) that tells me to install the CD content.

Follow up the instructions, which was very user friendly to me, then finish everything.

Second impression:
My Wireless connectivity is working!! This is excellent!
With some iwconfig commands combined with network-admin command, finally can make it work.

iwconfig essid
iwconfig key off
iwconfig key open

However, I still have an issue here ..
Somehow my network connectivity using Linksys to my Linux laptop is not recognized with Encryption.
Thus, I am still using unsecured connection.

Need to google again on how to fix this issue with my Intel Wireless ipw394.
